Test Activities
EMC Kashima performs the product safety test and also application service on behalf of the customer with a focus on the ITE, power supplies, measuring instruments and control equipment (related to IEC60950, IEC61010 Standards).
- TUV (Germany), TUV-GS (Germany), UL (United States), cUL (Canada)
- The efficient and short-term acquisition of those certification or recognition is available due to the witnessed test by an engineer from each organization using our test facility.
- LVD Directive, Machinery Directive (Europe)
- The test reports for the CE marking are issued according to the Low Voltage Directive. EMC Kashima provides a total support from the initial constructive evaluation and the risk assessment to producing the TCF (Technical Construction File).
- CB Certification
- The CB test reports from NCB can be issued through EMC Kashima. We provide the customer with the service for overall application process.
- PSE Mark (Domestic)
- For "Electrical appliance other than specific electrical appliance", we perform and support the technical criteria conformity test for the 2nd clause in the Ministerial Directive with a focus on the instruments mentioned above.
Wide Range of Service
- One Stop Service
- Whenever the modification is done on the product in the EMC test, the effects on safety may be concerned. We can perform the safety test to confirm this situation without sending it back to the customer's site or sending it to the other test facility. One stop service enables the customer to reduce a delivery time.
- Self Test Service
- If the customers hope to perform the test by themselves occurs, they can utilize our test facility and test equipment which have been adequately controlled. Our test engineers will support the customer, if the need arises.
- Individual Items Test and Visit Test
- It is possible to perform the test on specified items by the customer. Also the results of the test report for those items can be issued. EMC Kashima also performs visiting test services at the customer's designated premise such as a factory and an equipment installed location with the test instruments.
- Technical Consultation and Follow-up Service
- The consultation on the application for the certification test and the technical consultation are available any time. Continuous follow-up service can be given by our engineer after completion of the test.
Consulting Service
EMC Kashima has a staff of well experienced engineers in various fields. We accept consultations for the design stage, the constructive evaluation, the product safety test, and the application process on request.
On request, we support the customers who newly expanded their business overseas or who are inexperienced.

- Guidance on the test method or test materials
- Practical work for a safety test in our test laboratory using samples
- Performance of prior evaluation (construction evaluation) of products prior to an application (abstraction of non-compliance points with a visual observation giving an explanation to an evaluation method and an interpretation of standards on the moment)
- Advice on modification in case of NG in construction evaluation or a safety test
- Guidance on a description of an instruction (explanation from installation to disposal)

Introduction of Dielectric Strength Test Fixture "EST65"
The dielectric strength test fixture for sheet material, whose test is required in IEC60065 and the other standards, has been expensive, since its purpose is specific and precision is required. Therefore, EMC Kashima started to offer this fixture with a reasonable price by developing original technology and reducing costs. For more information, please feel free to ask us. Approximately one month is required to ship the fixture as this is made-to-order.
